"The Year of our Lord’s Favor”

“All praise to God for His wonderful kindness to us and His favor He has poured out upon us, because we belong to His dearly loved Son. So overflowing is His favor towards us, that He took away all our sins through the blood of His Son, by whom we are saved; and has showered upon us the richness of His grace.” Eph.1:6-8

I Will Not Die an Unlived Life: by Dawna Markova"I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible; to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance, to live so that which came to me as seed goes to the next as blossom, and that which came to me as blossom, goes on as fruit."

Connellsville's New Life Fellowship turns the idea of traditional church on its head and will host a celebration for the public to learn more about its mission.

Pastor Mark Van Bibber describes the congregation as "a refreshing place where real people come together to experience real life in a new and exciting way, by discovering their purpose in life through a relationship with a real God."

"New Life Fellowship is made up of people looking for more than just religion. It is a place of love, acceptance and discovery. We are open and informal in our services, and use contemporary praise and worship music in our Sunday celebration. We also have activities for children and youth, and do a lot of special things together," Van Bibber said. Those activities include picnics, outings, social get-togethers and outreach and events to help others.

New Life Fellowship is active in the community, works together with other churches and supports mission services in America and throughout the world. "We care about people and look for ways to give life," Van Bibber said.

New Life Fellowship took its name from Jesus' statement in John 10:10, "I have come that you may have new and abundant life!"

"Our joy and passion is to be filled more and more with our Father's love and grace, and to help people be fulfilled by the new and abundant life that Jesus came to give to all people," Van Bibber said.

Regular Sunday services are held at the Connellsville Senior Citizens' Center at 10 a.m.
